ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET: In Mixing Mode

November 27, 2006

ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET, the new Swedish band featuring former THE CROWN vocalist Johan Lindstrand, entered Deadline studios on October 18 with engineer Valle Adzic to begin recording its new album, "Error in Evolution". The follow-up to the band's debut, "21st Century Killing Machine", is scheduled for release on March 9, 2007 via Nuclear Blast Records.

The following update from Lindstrand has been posted on the band's MySpace page:

"There's not much new to say about the album that's not been said before. We've just started to mix the whole thing now and we will have a full master on Friday the 1st of December. And since it's just about mixing we will not give you more studio updates. This is the last one.

"Someone said, 'Do we really have to wait until March next year?' Yeah, I'm afraid so. We're so extremely satisfied with this album and we wanna play it for you now already. That's a shitty situation for sure, haha.

"Other news is that we had a break in the studio and went to do a festival show in Cologne, Germany. It was a small festival with five bands and us headlining. It felt great and we played the 'Christmas' song and also 'The Supreme Butcher' from the upcoming 'Error in Evolution'. People had a great time and we left Cologne with a smile."

"Error in Evolution" projected track listing:

01. Mine for the Taking
02. The Supreme Butcher
03. Such a Sick Boy
04. Knights in Satan's Service
05. Battlefield Paradise
06. Heaven Knows No Pain
07. Nightmare in Ashes And Blood
08. The Sun Never Shines
09. He's Back (The Man behind the Mask)
10. See Them Burn
11. Silencer
12: Hail the King

Regarding the band's decision to record a cover of ALICE COOPER's "He's Back (The Man behind the Mask)", Lindstrand previously said, "It's a song which we all can relate to in one way or another. We were young and it was in the middle of the '80s. 'Friday the 13th Part 6 - Jason Lives' [was] circulating in the underground community 'cause Sweden had huge problems with censorship. We had to find it in the black market and since we first saw this slasher, this song really got stuck in our heads and I guess the only way to get it out is to play the god damn song. It will be heavy!"

As previously reported, ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET will embark on a two-week European tour, dubbed "The X-Mass Mayhem Tour", in late December/early January.

ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET released a new single, "Christmas for the Lobotomizer", on November 17 via Nuclear Blast. In addition to the title cut, the single contains the songs "Devil on the Red Carpet", "Hell is for Heroes" and "Bulldozer Frenzy", all recorded live at this year's Summer Breeze festival in Germany.

Commented Lindstrand: "The cool thing with this is that it will be released on a limited edition of 500 copies and you will only be able to buy it from the Nuclear Blast mailorder, so you must act fast and hard if you want a copy," Lindstrand previously said. "And the most important thing: This brand new ARMY song will only be available on this Christmas single."
